Fundraisers
As any parent of a “Band Geek” knows, it takes a lot of money to support the various programs in a competitive music organization. As a 501c-3 charitable organization, our budget is fairly public. The true operating expenses are about $50,000 for the programs, and more than that for out of state trips and competitions.
VBB depends on and very much appreciates the generous support of the school district, the community, friends and family to be successful in the many fund raisers run throughout the entire year. Here you will find the latest information on upcoming fund raisers, and how you too can support the success of the Cadet Guard, the Varsity Winter Guard, the Indoor Percussion Ensemble, and the NYS Champion Victor Marching Blue Devils.
2010 FUNDRAISING GOAL SET AT $35,000
The 2010 VBB General Fund goal is set this year at $35,000. This is the amount needed to support the four programs and replenish our fund supporting participating kids in financial need. Fifteen or so fund raising events through the year are planned to try to reach this goal. Here is our progress through 2/15/2010
