Treasures Report:

Net Worth as of End of November: $33,439.50

Chris has sent out a pdf containing this information. The last fundraiser of

this year, the Poinsettias will be factored in here. The Annapolis Trip was very

close to budget. We have purchased some of the 2009 items like the cymbals.

The Student Account Process has been revamped to contain a statement for each

family.

Motion to vote to accept the treasures report:

Cathy Brown

Janet Snyder

2008 Budget Planning

The percussion ensemble has a request to use sampling software on a keyboard. Ted Shawe could couple a PC with midi device for about $500. In order to purchase a keyboard with this capability, if we purchase new we are looking to spend about $1200 to $1800. Teddy has some areas within his budget that he could cut back and maybe we would only need to spend $400 to $500 additional (over budgeted amount). For field band, there are keyboards available that can be used and we do not necessarily need this feature. Ted was not sure if leasing is an option. This is just another option.

Motion to increase Teddy’s budget by no more than $500 :

Skip Lehman

Jackie Lanzillo

Majority agreed to increase this piece.

Secretary’s Report:

No Corrections.

Motion to accept:

Mark Gydesen

Elaine Hogan

Directors Comments – Eric

  1. There are band belongings in the storage room in the VEC we need to get this out of the VEC by 12/15. Eric has marked the floor in the storage room at the high school as to where NOT to put things. A team of volunteers is needed to move this ‘stuff’ from the VEC and just put it in the storage room keeping it to the left. Subsequently, Eric will form a team to look at the contents of this storage room and decide what we need to keep and what we can dispose of.

  2. Holiday concert here in High School Monday night.

  3. Winter programs are underway and doing well.

  4. Eric will be holding line rehearsals tentatively on Tuesday 5th period and alternating every other week between instruments.

  5. Eric is still working on getting the Statesman here. Our commitment is a providing a meal. They will play for a concert on Saturday night May 2nd and we could sell tickets. We would like to show case a couple of our own groups as well.

Committee Chair Reports:

Winter Guard Home show – Mike

  1. Feb 14th is our home show

  2. We are down about 3 to 5 groups from last year – we are going from 24 groups to 18 groups.

  3. All county chorus snow date is Feb14th so since we have fewer groups we may start a little later.

  4. First homes how meeting next Tuesday.

  5. Most committee chairperson slots are filled.

Winter Drumline Home show – Chris

  1. April 5th – Date of the Home Show

  2. There are several people interested in shadowing Chris this year.

  3. Expecting the net to be about the same as last year.
